Research through photography
Projects
I examined the network found in both humans and vegetation, the "life-giving" veins and roots. I juxtaposed the two systems based on their visual similarities, portraying them in a way that highlights these similarities as much as possible. Through this visual analogy, I aimed to blur the differences between the two living beings, emphasizing the similarity of their life-sustaining networks.
This project is a work in progress, a smaller chapter of a larger scale photographic endeavour, discovering the boundaries of digital photography as a medium.
In this project I used the book of Konrad Lorenz, Civilized Man's Eight Deadly Sins, where I connected each sin with a scene from a corresponding film. Then I decomposed that scene in a very specific and technical way via digital means, to end up with an analog print.
